Both teens and families will participate in a ROPES Course training. Professionally trained and certified personnel from Camp Copass will guide the teens through both the low and high elements of a ROPES Course. The families will do low element training. ROPES Course training is designed to help Teen Camp Participants and Family Training participants learn by personally challenging themselves to go beyond perceived boundaries, to think in new ways, and to work with others to solve problems.
Requirements for the Course are
mandatory for teens and families and include:
- Dressing in layers. Clothing should be comfortable and loose enough to permit action, but not loose enough to get caught on the elements. Don’t wear your best clothes – they will get dirty.
- Tennis shoes or light hiking boots. Absolutely no open sandals or slip-on shoes.
- Leave jewelry and all sharp objects / combs at home or in your room.
